Director Statement

Kima’s Lode is story about the universal sense of adventure and wonderment that children possess. The three heroes of the film- selected locally with no prior experience- are personifications of the proverbial “irresponsibly charming” boys- who are ready to step into the unknown for a bit of adventure.

The film is also about the free- spirited nature of the people of north east India and their affinity with their land.
