'The Waiting Room' is a slice of drama film. The plot is a snapshot of the inherent human condition that we experience but seldom observe explicitly on a daily basis. The moments in our daily life lacks drama but the irony is still very much out there. The underlying theme of 'The American Dream' and the very first step to tackle is to embark upon the 'said dream'.

For immigrants and residents alike, certain things are common, yet the problems and causes differ.

A collection of short sketches set in the waiting room of DMV office in Chicago, which is filled with anxious characters having queued up to secure some kind of identity, state id or a license. The plot traces few random characters, including local citizens and immigrants and their random situations in a to and fro narrative, slice of life drama structure.
