After his parents divorced he moved with his mother to Albuquerque, New Mexico. After graduating high school he got a job working in the background industry on movie sets. This ultimately led him to pursuing film school. Growing up, Max stayed with his mother in the U.S. during the school year and in Sweden with his father during the summers. He strongly credits his exposer of traveling from an early age for his unique views on screen.

Music is one of my biggest influence’s. As my parents always had the radio playing in the house growing up. In most of my work I focus on realism. As I believe it's one of the strongest aspects when it comes to the art of filmmaking. I enjoy diving into real situations and seeing perspectives through other peoples eyes.
