Eduard Galić (born in Trogir, 1936) is a Croatian television and film director and a screenwriter. He graduated in Archeology from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb in 1960 and debuted as a television director at Zagreb Television in 1963 with the adaptation of the novel "Propali dvori" by Janko Leskovar. He continued his film career with a series of appreciated short documentary and feature films between 1965 and 1969. He is recognized for his first feature "Black Birds" (1966) which many consider one of the best ex-Yugo films of all time. He's directed more than 15 TV series and 4 feature films among which "Izdanci iz opaljenog grma" for TV Serbia - considered one of the best Serbian series of all time. In 2008, he directed the 3-part documentary series "Heroji Vukovara" and his lates feature "For good old times" (2018) received critical acclaim. He was awarded with the Vladimir Nazor Lifetime Achievement Award in 2015.
