6000 Miles
Artist/activist Mona Gazala enlists the aid of several people in acquiring a piece of rubble from a demolished house in Palestine, and using that rubble for a street performance in Peoria, Illinois; drawing the economic connections between Caterpillar Inc. and the Israeli Occupation Forces. With footage by Lawrence Maushard and Emily Jacir, collaborators Noor Abuarafeh and Michael Rakowitz, and interviews collected from Peoria residents.
