Director Biography - David García Munuera

David García Munuera was born in Murcia, Spain, in 1997. He became a cinema and theatre enthusiast at the age of five. He started specializing himself in the audiovisual and acting fields when he started secondary education. He studied the Baccalaureate of Humanities and Social Sciences in La Flota High School. Nowadays he is studying Stage Directing and Dramaturgy degree in the ESAD Murcia (School of Dramatic Art of Murcia) and Filmmaking in La Base Cinema School of Cartagena.
He has actively participated in several drama plays as an actor since 2011. He worked in the trupe La Flota On Stage, performing The Remarkable Rockett and the musical play Grease, among others. Between 2011 and 2013, he took acting classes and two stop motion animation courses. In 2014, he was selected by the European Community to take part in a cultural group living experience in Syöte, Finland, for eleven days. One year after, he was hired by the CNM (Murcia Swimming Club) as the director and editor of a promotional video for the club.
Recently, he had been working as a volunteer for the nonprofit charity TAPIS, producing the musical play The Lion King. He has also worked as the Assistant Director for the short film Tú Eres Tú, directed by Carmen Gómez Peralta. In January 2016, he released his first short film as a director and screenwriter: Elise.
