Heiko Aufdermauer (born in 1976) traveled to Africa on his bycicle for almost two years. Later, he studied sciences of film (HU Berlin) and film direction at HFF Konrad Wolf (Potsdam). In 2007 he did his diploma with the award-winning feature film A TIME FOR FISHES, that successfully ran in cinemas in 2008. Many times he shot award–winning films abroad: in Kolkata (India), he shot DIVINE DURGA and in Iran, he did ZAAR. In 2008, he was rewarded with a DAAD post-graduate scholarship for Kolkata / India. Parallel to his work on several screenplays (e.g. THE FIFTH COLOUR, funded by mbb). Over the past years, he shot more than 300 shortfilms as commissioned work for theatres, artists, musicians and fashion designers.
