Director Biography - Jason Perini

Jason Perini is an actor, writer and director based in Sydney. His theatre credits include 'Shotgun' for (Spectrum Now / Tamarama Rock Surfers) 'Platanov' for (ATYP), and 'NOT I / Ashes to Ashes' (NIDA) Jason is an in demand Voice Over Artist working regularly across brands such as KFC, GIO, Sony, QBE, and Samsung . His television credits 'Underbelly: The Golden Mile' and a host of television commercials.

The short Film 'A Little Bit Behind' which Jason co-wrote and starred in has won awards at home and internationally, in which Jason won Best Actor both in Australia & at the International 48hour short film awards in America and screened at the Cannes Film Festival in 2012. 'Kitchen Sink Drama' in which Jason also played the lead was a finalist at Tropfest Australia in 2012, screened at the New York City International Film Festival and won 'best comedy' at the BrownFish International Film Festival in New York.

'Casa Del Sueños' a short film which he wrote and stars in is part of the Tropfest Summer Series and currently doing the film festival rounds including , 'The Projects Short Film Festival' the 'HA! fest Comedy Film Festival' (USA), 'The Sunderland Shorts Film Festival' (UK) and the 'Miami Short Film Festival' (USA)

Earlier this year Jason was fortunate enough to win the Jameson First Shot competition where he has just directed Maggie Gyllenhaal in his short film ‘The New Empress’. The film is being produced by Kevin Spacey and Dana Brunetti and will be released in July 2016.
