Director Biography - Benedykt Zasadzki

Benedykt Zasadzki is a London based filmmaker, writer, director and producer who has made numerous films and TV productions since 2005. Popularly associated with independent filmmaking scene, he went on to write and direct such films as Benedictus (2005) and Iga (2010) and recently Portobello Road and Abrakadabra (2016) to name just a few.

Zasadzki was born in Lodz, Poland where he also grew up, studied film and literature and graduated University of Lodz. He also studied psychology at University of Tromso, Norway and took digital filmmaking course in SAE Institute in Glasgow. On completion in 2005, and after moving to London he worked various assistant jobs, settled into a position at Black Tower production company where his boss produced his first feature, Portobello Road (2016).
