Paper Key
A man discovers a secret exit on the building where he has been working all his Life. This metaphorical story questions our position toward a bureaucratic slow, and outdated cycle of Life. Influenced by Kafka’s “The Trial” and Plato’s “Allegory of the Cave”, individuals are diluted into the lonely collectivity.

Professional in Fine Arts from National University of Colombia, 2012. Thesis in Experimental 2D Hand-Drawn Animation.
Animation Specialization. National University of Colombia, 2014. Thesis in 2D Cartoon
His thesis “Politica Farandulera – Farándula Politiquera” was selected for the 2012 ANIMASIVO Short Film Festival in Mexico City.
In 2009, he founded his own animation studio called Carreta Estudio, comprised by a group of artists exploring the animation world. During that time was where "Paper Key" was born
In 2013, the work of Carreta Estudio with Jenaro as head of the project and animation director, proved once more successful when this ensemble of young artists won the nation-wide competition “Beca de Creación de Corto Animado de IDARTES” a financial incentive sponsored by the Colombian Government to fund the production of short animation projects, which made the execution of the project possible.
Currently, Jenaro is the Director of Carreta Estudio and works as an animator at 1881 Animation Company, specializing in 2D hand-drawn animation. He is also a painter, independent Illustrator, and a member of Bicromo, a street art collective.
