Director Statement

I wanted to work on a contemporary piece of classical music. It was great to talk to a living composer !
When i heard the Dalbavie flute concerto for the first time, i've had an impression, a vision of a crowd rushing, people running in subway corridors.
The main caracter is a little man, very small, lost in this crowd, with a big face to provide many facial expressions. He is something between 'The cat that hated people' by Tex Avery and Snoops in 'The rescuers' !
My goal was to write an animation perfectly synchronised on the music, to fit the music as if the music had been written for the film. It's a great pleasure to build a scenario on a Music. I had Fantasia's 'Rhapsody in Blue' in mind and wanted to reach this perfection.
