MISSILE MAN
An old man standing near the window opens up the doors of his mind to peep back into his past life as a child. We see a boy who narrates the facts of his life in a poetic way. In his conversation with the sea, the boy talks about four scenarios in his life that inspire him to think bigger and better, beyond the realms of his own life. Through his life’s own examples, he thinks of some parents who live a life full of adversity but are worried for the future of their child. He thinks about some long lost friends and relatives who may have separated from their loved ones on the name of riots and other political circumstances. He also thinks about many children like him who may have dreams but are afraid to pursue them just because they seem unachievable. And, finally he thinks about what he can give back to his nation to make it stronger and better place to live. As he runs through all these thoughts, we see that the man who was peeping in this past life through the window, comes out of his thought process. The boy, who is now this same big man, has answered all his unanswered questions as a child. He has achieved all that he had set out to achieve – given a better future for humanity, set an example of living in peace and harmony, showed ways to explore opportunities that could take life to a new level, and created an environment for growth of self and of nation. This man is none other than APJ Abdul Kalam.
