Director Statement

With the film "E.Z.P.Z.", co-writer Von Ryan Hernandez and I sought to create a world rarely seen in a zombie film, exploring survivors in the midst of recovering from an apocalypse after the threat has been minimized.
I was intrigued by the story of misguided bounties on snakes during British rule in colonial India, which backfired, causing the so-called 'Cobra Effect.' It seemed natural to extend this effect to zombies in a post-apocalyptic world.
At its core, "E.Z.P.Z." is a story of greed, betrayal and the innate human capacity for evil.
