PIERPAOLO

PierPaolo tells us about Pier Paolo Pasolini’s childhood and youth years, through the main characters of his life: his father Carlo Alberto, with whom he has a difficult love-hatred relationship; his mother, he’ll be very close with until his final days, they even lived together in the same house; his younger brother Guido, who joins the partisans during World War II and ends up murdered under strange circumstances; the delicate romantic and friendship relationship with two women: violinist Pina Kalz, a war refugee, and schoolteacher María, who went steady with him; and his deep infatuation with a peasant boy named Toni, he will keep this friendship throughout his life.

PierPaolo also takes us through the places that so marked his life (Belluno, Casarsa della Delizia, Scandiano, Conegliano, Sacile, Parma, Idria, Bologna, Versutta…) as since birth, Pasolini, became nomadic due to the moving from city to city, because his father was an army officer and every few months was appointed to new barracks.
During those days his fascination for trains started, in the long waiting hours at the station and his love for the region of Friuli, where his mother belonged, that brought the discovery of an archaic and peasant word that boosted his creativity.

PierPaolo guides us inevitably to the scandal that will mark his whole life (Ramuscello) and his escape to Rome along with his mother in pursuit of better times.

About PierPaolo
OVERVIEW OF MY WORK:
My latest film is titled PIERPAOLO, a very special biography of the poet, writer and filmmaker Italian Pier Paolo Pasolini, focused, through fiction and documentary, in your life of childhood and adolescence, before the character became worldwide famous. It has been a work of great route, with filming in Italy in towns and cities of this vital significant period portray, focusing on relaci'pn with his parents, brother and many loves both female and male who forged his dramatic existence with tragic final. It was two years of filming in Italy, plus several months of filming in Spain for fiction or dramatized sequences on his life. Thus, the style of the film could be considered into the rules of filmmaking and completely away from the TV "report" misnamed today as Documentary. The documentary is an art major in film and as such it claims PIEREPAOLO, who aspires to be a work of art, or arthouse open to any ñavido audience of creative, stylistic, human feelings, and full of interest in the world that we live.
Therefore, within this amalgam of sensations and emotions, is where PIERPAOLO finds its particular aesthetic, or "style" or "way of being" as film claiming artistic above all, and especially of a current commercial industry film that devours any trace of arthouse cinema. We have tried to convey the feelings to the viewer through the plastic language as an art major is the 7th Art.
It is an independent production, almost a miracle of tenacity and the desire to make films despite all industrial problems that clog the exit to the world of filmmakers with creative interests seeking further work on the renewal of cinematographic language that currently he has forgotten so decisive role it plays in the drama of movies.
Hopefully PIERPAOLO find their place in viewers and all those who passionately love the work of artists and great creators in this case is Pier Paolo Pasolini.

Shot in the places of Pasolini and youth, the film is a look of love , harvest, intimate, she whispered , " mystical" , which gives us the opportunity to hear the poignant voices of the poet's mother , of her beloved Toni , the cousin Nico Naldini , and feeling " en diary " , at any time , with even more strength and commotion her presence - absence that accompanies us .
"I'm so absorbed in everything , Pier Paolo , that I realized how much I am happy with your presence . There is no more pain. There is no death . There is a close connection with your life , with the blood of your veins , with the meat of your body . There has never been anything but life in your portrait. "
