Our Father

"Father Gabriel, a charismatic, man of God, undergoes a critical test of his faithfulness when he reunites after 20 years with the woman he loved. Now a religious sister, she finds herself drawn to the mystical boxing priest who beyond being a dynamic leader in the community also heals the sick and performs miracles -- even helping the blind. When the two religious' passionate romance becomes uncontainable, they encounter a character from their past, that will force Father Gabriel to choose between God's will and his will."

Director Biography

Ernesto Rivas has extensive experience in advertising, marketing and film. Throughout his 30‐year career he has been involved in a variety of projects that promote companies and their products. His expertise lies in the development and execution of creative and marketing concepts that achieve his client’s goals through advertising, marketing and branding campaigns. He has been fortunate to work with clients such as; Apple Computer, Yamaha Motorcycles and Music, Universal Pictures, Paramount Pictures, Mattel, Fluor Corporation, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Visa, Allergan Pharmaceuticals, Intel, SWBC and USAA. As part of his work he is able to project manage in coordination with other companies to provide a single solution. He is skilled in all ancillary disciplines related to design i.e. print, photography, film, video and audio production. Additionally, he has worked on both the “agency” side and “client” side of advertising, thus giving him a well rounded perspective on what issues are important and essential to accomplishing strong and successful marketing campaigns. In this lies his business approach to design.

One of his major successes was with USAA where he was a principal in the re‐branding of USAA. This effort created the image that USAA was one single company providing a variety of financial products and services to their customers, then to market themselves as the exclusive provider of financial products and services to military personnel and their families. This aspect of their brand was lost over time and had to be reestablished. The results were a significant increase in revenue and a new affinity with their military customers.

He has recently been filming documentaries for Catholic Television and the Oblates of Mary Immaculate religious order. His past credits as special effects technician and illustrator include Raiders of the Lost Arc, Star Trek: The Motion Picture and King Kong. He started his career with famed storyboard artist and illustrator his uncle David J Negron. His cousin Joel Negron is a successful editor in the film business.
