Temple Shalom Softball: The First Inning
Parody of Ken Burns' "Baseball" chronicles the 40-year history of a men’s recreational softball league. Narration by MLB Hall-of-Fame radio announcer Eric Nadel & Brad Sham, radio voice of the Dallas Cowboys.
Ringers, rivals, replicas of iconic baseball moments, and mustached reenactments bring the color and comedy of this storied league to life.
The FIRST INNING (1969-1977) charts the origins of the league: From its roots as a parking lot pickup game to its schoolyard-style draft and the evolution of the first player evaluations.
