V & Me is about a girl caught in an emotional triangle based around misunderstood love. She wakes up at dawn on the shore by the river to not understand what got her there. As she tries to solve the fragments of her memory, she remembers to meet her friend V, but misses it. V & Me was set as a short film, but acts as a working pilot for online episodes. The idea initially sparked off as trying to depict the story of one girl and her relationships with people through a period of 2 days. The way it was directed formed a surprise element to the level of how well she knew the characters intimately and evident only in fragments. This would allow clues on what could happen the next time they were together.
In the approach of continuing this for episodes, the way forward would show each character in more detail per episode, and their relationship with the lead female character. Misunderstood love and friendships play key attributes to this, along with playing with the element of time by switching certain parts of the story to reveal fragments of their relationships. Intertwined relationships, misunderstandings and friendship were the main inspiration for this film which I also hoped would prevail anticipation.
