Squareman is lost in a city looking for the last living tree. When he finally finds it, he discovers that the tree is almost dying. The tree uses it last energy to grant Squareman a revelation that will hopefully help him bringing back nature to the city.

Javier Halley is a Mexican classical animator and graphic designer currently living in Mexico City. He has a Bachelor Degree in Communications, a Master Degree in Graphic Design, and recently obtained a Classical Animation Diploma from the Vancouver Film School. During his spare time he enjoys drawing, reading a good book or watching a good movie in the cinema. He believes art is a powerful media that can be used to inspire positive change in the world.
This film is inspired in Monterrey City, my hometown in Mexico, a place where we rather build a new parking lot instead of a new park. During the last years the city has rapidly been growing destroying without replacement the green areas that the city once used to have. This short film, hopefully adds to the few attempts of ecological awareness.
