Birth of a Story
Three characters, from three different time periods, different levels of existence and different locations, are in the throes of birth and death. Though they are in search of their existence and they are at war for it, yet life seems all the more elusive. But, one thread binds them all together: a story’s birth.
The story’s premise is the coming into being of three non-entities whose association is indispensable for a ‘story’ to take ‘birth’ and the grand design of synthesis that flows in proper directions along the length and breadth of a story to give it it’s existential touch.

I am a teacher by profession and a shortfilmmaker and film critic by passion. I stay at Barasat, West Bengal, India.
My interest in films and Film Studies was given birth when I was in college and the people involved in inculcating such interest are none other than Joydeep Sen and Nilotpal Roy in the first place. They demonstrated elaborately that films should no longer be considered as merely a means of entertainment. Thenceforth started my exploration of this uncharted (at lest to me, till then) terrain. Sir Nilotpal Roy used to refer to Godard, among others, quite often and Sir Joydeep Sen first took me to the Film Festival (Kolkata). They not only taught us English Literature, but also Film Studies, Art, Music, Psychology; and this is not an overstatement. I was, by that time, getting completely obsessed with world films. Later, while working as a Web Designer in Primedi Art, I came in contact with another person, Shyam Roy. He, too, used to tell me, in our spare time, several things about world films most of which I still remember.
I have now created a group, Noirealist Film Society.
