Fare & Fowl
As we move further away from our food supply, the process by which animals become food becomes more removed from our daily lives. In industrial societies, fewer and fewer people are aware of where food comes from. This has caused us to waste more, to place less and less value on nature and its resources, and even be “shocked” when we see meat in any form other than a fully prepared cutlet or nugget.
This film explores the primal connection we have with animals, nature, and eating, and encourages the audience to consider and value what they eat. If people are more connected to their food, they will conserve more, be healthier, and see our natural world as a gift rather than a commodity.
