Aida Vidan holds Ph.D. in Slavic Languages and Literatures from Harvard University where she currently teaches Bosnian, Croatian, and Serbian languages, literatures and film. Her areas of interest include literature from the South Slavic region, Slavic languages, and film with a focus on the Balkan productions. She is author/editor of several books and a number of articles which have appeared in American and European scholarly publications. She co-wrote and co-produced short film Regret (2013, dir. Sanja Zdjelar) which won the first prize for the screenplay in the short film category at Boston International Film Festival. Her most recent film is a short poetic documentary entitled Tereza’s House (2015).
