Born in the small farm-town community of DeWitt, IA, Matthew has grown to love the world of movies. As a child, he received a Flip Video Camcorder for Christmas and has since fallen in love with visual story telling. After growing up in a low income family, Matthew joined the Military after High School so that he could continue to pursue his filmmaking dreams in college. He has since devoted his time at the University of Iowa producing short films and helping other students with their filmmaking pursuits. He even leads a student organization at the that focuses primarily on video production. He has big plans and ambitions to work on the sets of major motion pictures after he graduates from The University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts in Cinema.
I want to create visual art that nobody else ever has. I want to tap into the emotions of an audience that they are not accustomed to feeling. I want to dedicate my life to Cinema.
