My creative pursuits have morphed and evolved quite a bit over the years. Originally, I began creating as a fine artist, mostly focused in on invention through illustration. However, in college I chose to study architecture at Cornell University, and later went on to practice and teach architectural design professionally for some years in Boston. Not totally satisfied with the field and its ability to communicate my philosophical objectives, I started to get involved with local theater, which quickly turned into a full-on love affair with film acting. After spending a few years doing quite a lot of film and tv acting on both coasts, I started writing the kinds of scripts I'd always wanted to act in. This gradually turned into a dual-focus for me on acting and writing, the eventuality of which was trying my hand at directing. And now here we are.
"Electric Blue" is my directorial debut, which I also wrote, produced and starred in. My experience with film has predominantly been on the writing and performing sides, so directing has been an amazingly unique and valuable change. I have a deep passion and respect for the sci-fi/fantasy/thriller genres, and feel very privileged to participate in those conversations through this film. In pace, tone and story, I would very much liken this film to something similar to an "Under the Skin" or a "Memento," with little sparks of a "Chronicle," "X-Men" or "Bourne Identity."
