Scott McCullough is a very pragmatic, passionate, stylistic and contemporary director with a visual foundation in design. His many prestigious national/international awards with repeat Fortune 500 clientele establishes his successful ability to deliver exceptional results on over 250 commercials.
Recently, McCullough partnered as the live-action director/dp for Artemple (Gone Girl, Benjamin Button, Pirates of the Caribbean). “Captain For Dark Mornings” his feature war biopic, attached Martin Sheen (Apocalypse Now, The Departed) and Dan Lauria (The Wonder Years). Several other prestigious films are in active development.
Target Department Stores contracted McCullough early in his career to direct several commercials resulting in several One Show awards. He continues to work with top tier clients to this day, including Pepsi, Ford, NASCAR, GM, Polaris, Jeep, Kumho Tires, Coors and Budweiser. He has been honored at the AICP, Addy’s, Effie’s, Vision, Auroras, Cannes, Telly's (18-time), and 2-time Adweek’s Best Commercial of the Year – among many more.
McCullough was then enlisted to write, direct, shoot and edit the first-ever 70mm NASCAR’s Thunder Dome 100% for RJ Reynolds, which was considered the world’s largest mobile theater. He has worked with most of the world’s top drivers, including the legendary Paul Newman, Richard Petty, Dale Earnhardt, Jeff Gordon among others..
McCullough was discovered by rock icon Prince who valued McCullough’s unique shooting style, sense of humor and true excitement for the craft. McCullough worked with Prince for three years on projects, including the Sexy MF, Gett Off and Diamonds and Pearls home videos, where he was honored for collaborations on 8 RIAA Gold certifications and worked with George Clinton, Carmen Electra, Colby O’Donnis, Mizz Nina and many more during his time collaborating with the music legend.
