Director Statement

This movie germinated when I was still living in Tampa. I remember driving down HWY 41 very late at night and thinking "What's the worst thing that could happen right now?" You always hear about people hitting panthers with their cars and so, when I knew I'd be moving to Los Angeles, I adapted the story to suit the desert environment. I wanted to capture the isolation one feels when they are stuck in the middle of nowhere. There is something about being in a dire situation like that which causes us to look inward, and revert back to our basic, animalistic, needs.
