Magenta

Things have not been easy for shy Leon (David Meier): He's an outsider at school, his football team keeps losing matches, his parents wouldn’t stop arguing and the worst is yet to come: The prom is coming closer and Leon still needs a date!
But then it happens: Leon's drawings start to influence his real life. He turns a sunny day into heavy rain by painting raindrops. He creates a paper jam in school by painting a defect school copier. And out of nowhere, his football team is successful against the leading team by a storybook-like bicycle-kick.
His new abilities come just in time, so that Leon can paint the girl of his dreams as his prom-date. However, the only pencil available is a magenta one, and so the girl gets her name: Magenta - though she prefers "Maggie". But Maggie (Johna Fontaine) does not become a real girl, but a talking drawing. And she has got a mind of her own. Soon Leon has to realize, that Maggie has her good sides, too: as a prompter during the unexpected Maths test at school or with her creative ideas to rub up Leon's parents' relationship.
But there is still one major problem: The prom is coming closer and Leon needs a date! Maggie tries to comfort Leon, but fails completely: They argue and driven by his anger, Leon insults Maggie: "You're just a drawing. You'll never understand me!". Deeply hurt, Maggie freezes instantly and wouldn’t talk to Leon anymore. Leon immediately regrets his words, but it is too late.
Leon doesn't bother having no date at prom. Much more, he suffers from losing Maggie. Suddenly, he's taken aside by a teacher which judges him: His manners are unrespectable; letting his date wait outside of the hall. Leon does not understand, but eventually takes a look at the paper - empty! He rushes outside only to find Maggie, who has become a real girl. The embrace each other happily and go to the prom together.
