Alternative, Rock,Spanish Rhythms, Sultry Blue.

Writing lyrics and producing their own music as one of the most Original Bands from Chicago Illinois.


Dysfunctional Mariachi style of music is a beautiful blend of the greatest genres of music.. In the past year they have redesigned their style of music. Even though Rock is a part of their main sound, they also expanded into different new genres, including World/Gypsy, Alternative, Rap, Spanish rhythms, and some of that down home Chicago Blues.

Each song has it's own unique sound but still retains its Dysfunctional Mariachi identity with their powerful,distinct,
memorable leading singers' vocal sound.. Just like their fun name, "DM" entertains their crowd of all sizes with their love of music and diverse personalities.

We write songs that express our creative thinking, sometimes we are drawn to the sadness around us and find a simple moment of clarity and that's when the music starts to flow. Life is expressing your true self through your passions whether it be writing lyrics or instrumental parts .
