CATHY LEWIS
Comedian Cathy Lewis has earned the respect and admiration from international audiences' to fellow comedians for her stellar humor and philanthropic endeavors. A lifelong survivor of Tectrology of Fallet – a congenital heart condition, Lewis has been a major contributor to the Adult Congenital Heart Association.
    Being a survivor Cathy understands first hand how the support from many organizations can make a difference. It is said that laughter is the best medicine and as a result Lewis founded Big Heart Productions* - an organization dedicated to helping charities through comedic benefits and fundraisers. Lewis has collaborated with organizations such as the The Adult Congenital Heart Association in partnership UCLA, The Make-A-Wish Foundation, Crippled Children's Society and The Community Alliance for the Blind. Cathy has also worked along side many comedians such as Chris Rock, Damon Wayans, Bill Maher, Margret Cho and Kevin Pollack to raise not only awareness but donations for charity. Lewis has turned her triumphs and tribulations into laughs and standing ovations.
    Since her start Cathy has performed at legendary venues such as the Laugh Factory in Hollywood, the Punchline in San Francisco and has been a staple at the World Famous Comedy Store on Sunset Strip, since owner Mitzy Shore discovered her in 1991. Lewis' humor consists of self image satire of every walk of life, impersonations and current global affairs.
Cathy Lewis' trajectory has ranged from voice overs in Nickelodeon's cartoon “Teapot” to TV appearances on Logo's “One Night Stand,” BET's “Comic View, NBC's “Last Comic Standing & The Jenny Jones Show. Lewis tours doing stand up domestically and internationally to festivals, events and military bases. She has produced the long time running live shows “Cathy Lewis & Friends,” “Sheezz Funny,” and “The Nappy Fro Show.” @ The World Famous Comedy Store.
