Director Biography - Robert Leitch

Robert Leitch is a independent filmmaker living in Columbus, Ohio. He is the founder of Short Knight Films.

Robert's love of short films comes from his environment. He was raised on Sesame Street and MTV, and worked for years creating commercials, promos, sports opens and sizzle films. so he really knows how to pack the most punch into the smallest package. Combining creative narrative and social commentary with breakneck pacing is his specialty.

When he was 23 he answered a classified ad looking for a prompter operator. 2 years later he was directing live news shows and had won his first Emmy.

At the start of his television career Robert's mentor was a seasoned veteran named Charlie Cook. Charlie would tell stories of the golden age of TV, when live, local entertainment shows ruled. Charlie said "Everything is Show Business." That made a big impression on Robert then, and still influences him many years and a dozen Emmys later.

Currently Robert is the Content Technology Manager at MediaSource, an award winning Content Marketing and Media Relations agency. He is married and has two wonderful young children.
