Director Biography - Marc Lubberich

Marc is an independent filmmaker and musician, born in 1980, originating in Mönchengladbach, now living in Cologne, Germany.
He started filmmaking in 1997 and music in 1995. "Gemini - Welcome to the Myk Show" marks his third attempt in making, producing, writing, composing and directing a full feature film without any kind of budget. However his first of success.
The lack of a budget is why it finally took almost ten years and naturally a few losses of qualitiy primarily in acting and cinematic execution.
However these losses can be considered fairly regular and as an unfortunate given within the genre of "no budget filmmaking". Afterall the film is ment to be a filmtrack to an album. So the music is what shall be focused on. And here, however even no budget available aswell, there is nothing to hide for.

Director Statement

I'm very aware of the weaknesses but also the strenghts of the film respectively filmtrack. I know and remember well how much effort it took to get it done. Especially after such a long time. I know that the music is of very high quality and that the movie doesn't take that justice quite right. But if you look at it a little less seriously, pick up some of the little moments and details and most of all enjoy the music I promise you have a good time watching this. Even or maybe because nothing really seems to make sense. This is different, weird, trashy mixed with real good music.
Yours, Marc.
