Just the Two of Us

James Roddy grew up with a rich influence of art and culture in the Bay Area. He studied acting with theater companies such as The Western Stage and gained respect for both sides of production. Inspired by film classes at Cal Arts, he went on to major in Cinema at San Francisco State University and got his Bachelor of Arts. While there he studied Cinematography with Larry Clark, Sound Design and Editing with Walter Murch and Pat Jackson, and film production with August Coppola. Since moving to Los Angeles, James has directed many professional and independent projects, while also serving the Assistant Director’s Department for professional film and television. As a DGA member, James has committed to continued growth and excellence in filmmaking as well as exploring new techniques.
