I was born to a strict catholic family in Kerala where I was brought up as a disciplined lad. During my childhood itself I had started asking questions regarding religion, purpose of life and the connection between individuals. I studied a variety of subjects at universities and did various jobs before finding my true passion for cinema and dedicated myself for the art form. Savam is my first feature film.
In my first feature film Savam, I have tried to explore the absurdity of the customs, ceremonies, routines and eventually the human existence itself. In modern films, very commonly we see characters who have specific goals and obstacles. In Savam, I haven't tried to explore any single character, but have tried to incorporate the characteristics of human beings such as hypocrisy, superficiality and absurdity as I know to almost everyone who appears in the film.
