In 2012, I received a full scholarship to Berkley Digital Film Institute. I made two films as a student: Last Trip to Spain which won best short at the Portland Maine Film Festival and The Pusher which was featured at the Broad Humor Film Festival in Los Angeles.
After graduating from BDFI, I worked as a production assistant on Diary of a Teenage Girl in the art department. I also worked as a production assistant on Terminator Genisys in the production office.
Most recently, I completed Silver Dogs, a short film that I wrote, directed and produced that went on to win the Audience Award at the San Francisco IndieFest, Best Narrative Short at the Santa Cruz Film Festival, and most recently, Best of Fest at the ACME Comedy Film Festival in Los Angeles.
Currently my mother and I are working on a feature film script called Soulless in Los Altos as well as adapting my mother's novel, Lily's Ghost, for the screen. Lily's Ghost has been selected to compete in the 2016 Oaxaca Film Festival.
We live in a disposable society and it is not uncommon for a couple in the throes of divorce to give old Fido the heave-ho when the going gets tough. When I began fostering two senior Weimaraners in this predicament, it became apparent that I must tell their story. Although the premise for the film was a difficult topic, I felt it would be best communicated through the conduit of comedy.
