Director Statement

I've been thinking about the issues that this film tackles for two decades. Over the years, I noticed something about the kinds of relationships men and women were having, including those that led to marriage. There seemed to be a disintegration of the sacred, and the ascension of the vulgar and the promiscuous.

When I looked around at couples, I didn't see the same level of dedication and commitment that my grandparents had for each other, and I think for all the progress we have made as a society in terms of having freedom when it comes to relationships, we've also lost something very precious when it comes to the deeper meanings of love and loyalty.

In this film, I hope I've captured the spirit and the essence of what is most precious in relationships. I also want to thank the fantastic people who worked with me on this film and whose credits are all listed in the film.
