Arrivederci Macao
In this film, the architect Manuel Vicente shows us the city of Macao and also some of his most significant works built there.
“My intention was to walk around Macao, the city of MV, in his company. It’s a promenade full of happy conversation, laughter and good food, through which MV, the man, appears little by little. We can also find the traits that characterize the architecture of Macao: an oriental city under Portuguese features or a Portuguese city under oriental traits, a place that we wanted to rediscover in this documentary, since the events that triggered MV to go to that territory. Walking and wandering around town with him, as flâneur, with the camera on our shoulder and following MGD steps, we find and unveil MV’s architectural work.” (Rosa Coutinho Cabral)
