He has taught animation and stop motion at several colleges, universities, seminars and conventions. He has been active in animation preservation. As well as the creator of the Stop Motion Comic Books "The Statement of Harley Warren" and "The Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath" series. Planner and presenter of The Stop Mo Expo, Volunteer director, event planner and presenter for ASIFA-Hollywood at Comic Con 2004 to 2008. Past Volunteer Director for IndieCade. Larry Loc is a Stop Motion and 3-D computer animator, an animation educator, a former Board Member of ASIFA-Hollywood, the History of Animation Professor at Cal State Fullerton, an after school instructor of Stop Motion Animation at Ladera Vista Junior High School in Fullerton, California and the director of the "AniMazSpot International Animation Feedback Festival" (to which, sadly, he can not submit his own work).
Stop Motion Animation is the red haired step child of animation education. By and large stop motion is just not being taught in animation programs. I do everything I can to change that.
