Director Statement

Piece Together (Roto) is a film shot in Mexico in collaboration with artists and students from SAE Institute in Mexico City. While in Mexico this year, I had begun working with Director of Photography Alex Reynaud on my other film in production, Guest. He told me about this amazing and crumbling ranch that belonged to his family in rural Perote, Veracruz. After showing me pictures it was decided; we must make a film at this amazing place. Piece Together (Roto) is a film about heartbreak, resolution, and how our inner thoughts and emotions impact our understanding of our subjective world. And most of all, it's about how the decision to change those inner circumstances can make all the difference.
