Johnny (喬尼)

Johnny has traveled away to Brazil with a dream of running a karaoke bar. The bar was planned to be “Loca Johnny” named after himself. However, something went wrong with the business and he was forced to quit. Since then Johnny has been hysterical. Constantly talking to himself in front of a mirror, Johnny literally turned “loca”. In his eyes, the world had been totally changed. He could see the doubles of his different selves. Eventually, the illusion allows him to attend the inauguration party at his Loca Johnny.

Li stayed in northeast Brazil during 2011-2012 as an exchange student. The experience of learning the third language provided Li some imagination about a multilingual career path. The most precious gift from the journey was definitely his Brazilian Portuguese. But the artist was aware of that this language ability has been useless and disappearing after his return from Brazil. In other words, his Portuguese has become merely a souvenir. Driven by the disappointment, the fiction story is the artist’s unusual paraphrase of his experience on the opposite side of the planet.

喬尼帶著經營卡拉OK酒吧的夢想來到遙遠的巴西，這間酒吧是以他自己來命名的”瘋狂喬尼”。然而某些不知名的問題使他不得不放棄這門生意。自此，喬尼變得歇斯底里，並時常對著鏡子說話。他眼裡的世界早就變了，幻象讓他不斷看見自己的分身，甚至使他闖進了瘋狂喬尼酒吧的開幕派對。

李宗展在2011-2012年期間曾以交換學生身分居住在巴西的東北部。學習第三語言的經驗使他幻想過未來走上某種多國語言職涯。巴西葡萄牙語是他這趟旅行中最珍貴的寶物，然而他意識到葡語在回國後不再有用處，並察覺自己正一天天失去這項語言能力，他的葡萄牙語變成了紀念品。這個不尋常的虛構故事便是基於這份失望，而對這趟海外經驗所做的重新闡述。
