KRISHNAMMAL: This miracle woman has was active in the Gandhian struggle for Indian independence and through her continued struggle has restored land to thousands of landless women as everyone calls her 'Amma', meaning 'Mother' including Martin Luther King III who retraced his parent's footsteps through India and met Krishnamma. She was awarded a Summit Foundation Award (Switzerland), the 'Opus Prize' and the Right Livelihood Award.
