Fungayi Komani born in Zimbabwe then relocated to Cape Town 2006 because of economic hardships in the country of origin. I worked as a waiter, bartender, barista in hotels. I left hospitality industry end of 2010 to pursue my film passions
2011 F.I.L.M Afrika took me in their “Mentorship Programme” for less privileged people. After the programme doors were closed on my face and started working for myself as a Technician, Driver, and Plumber. 2014 I started my production company called and I produced a documentary called “The Phenomenon Of Cape Flats Smile”. The same year I shot a low budget movie called “Stricken Hearts” which didn’t do well because of various challenges. 2015 I shot another low budget movie called “Fist Of Tears (Inqindi Le Nyembezi”.
It's never too late, as long as you're still alive.
