Director Biography - Eva Rivera-Ferrell

Born in Honolulu Hawaii, this mixed beauty grew up in a military environment. Her parents were Marines and she lived all over the United States. She had a close relationship with her brother, Anthony growing up and they are still really close. Eva started acting when she was 3 and modeling when she was 15. When she graduated from high school, she went to college for a year and decided to join the Air Force. She married her wonderful husband, had 2 beautiful kids, received 2 degrees, and traveled the world. She also was able to model, act, & host on the side. Eva decided to end her military career while stationed in Tokyo, Japan. She started getting back into acting and fell in love with photography and music. Then one day while on a film set, she told herself "I would love to be a filmmaker one day". Not only did she want to write films, she wanted to direct and produce them as well.

That takes us to the present. She decided to make that dream come true (with the birth of Eva Rivera-Ferrell Productions) and found a group of people that truly believes in what she does. She has only done short films, but she is in the process of writing a feature film and will have more information in 2015. She appreciates the love and support that everyone has shown and can't wait for the world to see what she is truly capable of!

Director Statement

When I wrote this film, I wanted to bring to light the effects of drugs. As I was creating all of my characters, I decided to throw a demon like monster into the script. At first, I had the demon speaking in a crazy voice and then my husband brought me back to reality and told me that my script did not make sense with the demon speaking. After I re-read everything, I totally agreed. I took out all of the dialogue for the demon character, which ended up being the character for the bum. I was so happy that I did that because it made everything flow the way it was supposed to.

I also wanted to include in my script how our actions in life have consequences. That is when I decided to have what my main characters, Troy and April, did come back to haunt them. Everything that happens throughout the script is a direct result of them taking the drugs, which I called "The Transfer".

I knew from the start that I wanted this film to be a thriller. Thriller/horror films are my favorite type of films to watch and write. I just love the idea of being taken on a ride and not knowing what's going to happen next and I love even more the fact that someone could get butterflies while watching. Films that keep me on the edge of my seat are so much fun. I can't wait for people to see the emotions that Troy and April go through, while being kept on the edge of their seats.
