Nora Poggi (director/coproducer) is a French journalist with a background in film production who has been interviewing key players in Silicon Valley for the past two years. After graduating from French top schools Sciences Po Paris and La Sorbonne, she moved to San Francisco to work for French social network Viadeo.com as a Communications Coordinator. She then went back to her first love, films, with production company Lucky Dragon Productions, where she trained in all areas of film production and promotion. At the same time, she started working as a freelance reporter for Examiner.com and reported on major Silicon Valley events, producing video interviews with tech industry players for Examiner. She now freelances for the prestigious Agence France Presse (AFP) and Usine Nouvelle about technology, splitting her time between Europe and the US.
Insiyah Saeed (codirector/coproducer) is a journalist & graduate of Columbia Journalism School who has a keen interest in the startup world and has been based in the Valley for 5 years. As a production intern on Mira Nair's the Namesake, Insiyah learned firsthand what it takes to create a film from concept to execution. With a background in storytelling and a passion for female empowerment, Insiyah combines these two passions in her work on She Started It. As an award-winning writer in print, Insiyah has been published in Huffington Post, The New York Sun, The Wall Street Journal, Women 2.0 and other tech blogs.
