Director Biography - Jim Russell

Jim Russell grew up in Kansas City. He attended Rockhurst High School and received his Bachelors degree from the University of Kansas. He is the son of Dr. James L Russell and Patricia Russell. Mr. Russell is an Award winning Screenwriter and Director. He is CEO and owner of Mountain Air Productions LLC. He wrote and directed the award winning feature films "Normandy Is My Name" and Rh Negative - The Emergence (Post Production). He also wrote and directed the award winning short films The Intruder (2007) and Hello (2006).

He has written and directed a number of creative film projects from short to feature length, reality TV and commercials. He has created various pilots for television including Container Masters and Hidden Treasure Adventures.

He has written several screenplays and directed and produced/co-produced multiple feature films including The Brutal 9 (2017) and Child (Post Production). He is married with two children and loves writing, playing soccer and the great outdoors.

Director Statement

I love writing, creating and directing. Actions are more important than words - a person will always be judged by their actions. Life is short. My goal is to leave something meaningful behind that will stand the test of time and remain something to enjoy long after I am gone.
