Arcadius Mauritz – born on 20/02/1982 in Poland. Polish recognized photographer working regularly with polish celebrities. For his supreme project BLASK, reffering to problems of violence and discrimination against women, invited and shot with e.g. Imany or Ayo. Published by BLUR Magazine, Practical Photoshop in UK, Italy and Poland. Successfully mixes artistic mood with pinch of luxury and fashion, and focusing a lot on features of beauty of his models. Tries to create situation when models are not only mannequins but also they complete the image as the whole with their characters. Great supporter of simplicity. Arcadius about himself : „Since I remember I have always been fascinated by visual arts. The roots of that fascination can be found in some art traditions that my Father passed on me. So I started with painting, drawing, thru sculpting and even jewellery making. Finally, I stucked with photography. At the very beginnig of the most important adventure of my life, I tended to manipulate my works a lot.
After few years I found myself evolving and changing drastically point of view which led me to some sort of traditional approach in photography. Currently, I cultivate simplicity and creativity and although I use Photoshop quite a lot I make a serious effort to make it somehow invisible, unless it is needed by concept. I am also deeply interested in psychological aspects of photography, theory of photography and creation process and those particular issues I try to explore and any conlusions I come up with I attempt to convey during my workshops.” Particularly talented in communication skills. His models underline his ability to come into real bond with them within very short time, creating warm and one-of-a-kind atmosphere.

So far worked with numerous Polish celebrities : Natalia Lesz, Magdalena Tul, Ilona Felicjańska, Ewa Szabatin, Ramona Rey, Elżbieta Kwinta, Agata Nizińska… and international : AYO and IMANY.
