A first time writer and director, Thomas has worked in and around Film making since graduating with 1st in Media Production from the University of Lincoln in 2009. This film was inspired by my own childhood as part of a forces family. I've always thought that the families of deployed soldiers have been under-represented as their struggle is a hard one that only few can relate to. Whilst growing up, I also witnessed and endured subtle prejudice from a minority of the 'civilian' populace who had severe misconceptions about forces families. Though this film had no budget and minimal crew, I hope that the message comes across that in forces families, it's not just the soldier him/herself who makes sacrifices or suffers for their nations needs.
