Joe Sikoryak is a designer, director and animator with a career that spans east and west coasts, as well as traditional and digital media.
He started in journalism and graphic design, but moving pictures remain his passion. A graduate of SFSU with a BA in film, he has directed several short films and his company Apolog Films offers marketing and production support to filmmakers.
He also moderates the Documentary Filmmakers' Workshop, a Meetup group formed in 2013.
"As Seen On TV!" is a valentine to pop culture and the people who love it too much. The film is a synthesis of many aspects of pop culture and graphic design that have influenced me over the years. We can relate to a childhood fascination with cartoons, cereal boxes and other ephemera --- and recognize that there's still room to enjoy them as an adult.
