You Are a Sky of Autumn, Pale and Rose

I'm Peter and I'm a Los Angeles based director who occasionally multi-hyphenates as a producer, writer, assistant director, software designer, and geek. From an early age I fell in love with storytelling by watching the endemic adventure films of the early 80's and 90's, running convoluted role-playing games for friends, and acting & directing on stages at Utah Valley State College and Southern Utah University.

After moving to Los Angeles I began working in film and television as an on-set production assistant and an independent assistant director. Early experience ranged from tiny independent budgets to major cable television shows, each providing a wealth of practical knowledge.

MONSTRUM was my directorial debut and it premiered at the ITSA Film Festival in Sonora, CA in November 2013. Produced by Cynthia Graner (STRANDED IN PARADISE) and shot by Sandra Valde-Hansen (WHITE BIRD IN A BLIZZARD) the dark 15 minute film blended elements of classical tragedy with horror and a dash of quirky humor. I followed that project with the romantic comedy heist short STOLEN starring Amanda Leighton (THE FOSTERS, MAKE IT OR BREAK IT) and shot by E. Gustavo Petersen (HERCULES REBORN).

I continue to direct independent films and web content. When not crafting a project I'm the Product Manager for Ease Scenechronize, cloud-based production software, and I regularly support the product at NBCU, HBO, and other major studios. I'm also an avid player of games, a backpacker, and a canyoneer.
