Director Biography - Mark Alex Vogt

Mark Alex Vogt is an Independent Student Filmmaker from Louisville, Kentucky. When he was young, his interest in the Star Wars movies led him to the art of filmmaking. He began his work at the beginning of sixth grade with small projects and test films. Throughout middle school, Mark Alex created a good sized body of work and shared his passion with others. It wasn't until his sophomore year at St. Xavier High School that he created the short documentary, A New Way to Learn. The film was made for the first annual White House Student Film Competition. The short took home an honorable mention and a bronze award from the Telly Awards. Since then, He has continued to grow and learn as a filmmaker. Mark's passion for film has only grown since his childhood. He hopes to move to California in 2016 to begin his career.
