Born & Bred: The Bushwick Collective

Desperate to overcome family trauma and the violence of growing up in Bushwick, Brooklyn, Joe Ficalora began inviting street artist to paint the walls in his neighborhood as a way of making them more liveable. What started as a personal project has now evolved into an internationally-known street gallery – a testament of how one man’s search for healing has the power to transform his neighborhood, all the while creating a new space for New York street art to thrive on the world stage.
