Mark is an award-winning Director/Writer/Producer of short films and the Founder of MAD Resilience. Mark made his directorial debut in 2012 with Indiscriminate Eyes and followed up with the domestic drama Six Degrees Without Separation which was nominated for Best Short Film at the Paterson Falls Film Festival. Mark ventured into musical theatre by writing, directing, and producing two stage shows simultaneously: the one-woman-show Midway to Angie and the musical The Epitome of Regret, which toured from Toronto to Vancouver.
In 2014, his film Basted won Best International Film at the Milledgeville Film Festival. The same film also garnered him a nomination for Best Director at the 2014 Gwinnett Film Festival. He was one of the featured panelists in Atlanta, where he discussed the art of Writing a Short Film. Rounding out 2014, Mark directed the films "Cut and Fried", "Strangers on Bench", and the critically acclaimed “White Lock”, which has been winning international accolades from Amsterdam to Milledgeville. It is currently touring the festival circuit including Toronto, Goa India, Paterson New Jersey, and the Cannes Short Film Corner.
“The cast and crew of Standardized proudly come from various backgrounds, both cultural and social. Regardless of our history or of how we have arrived here, we all have overcome difficult challenges in life. In this new web series, Lipe’s character is the vessel, or the voice of many people who have struggled with their journey. After all, we share the universal need to belong. Rather than dwelling on stereotypes, Standardized explores what happens when we embrace them, while looking at the positive side of change."
